FIG. 07 · MIGRATIONCHATGPT → CLAUDE · WHAT TRANSFERS

Move your company from ChatGPT to Claude.

You spent months teaching ChatGPT how your business works. That work is not lost. We capture it, rebuild it as a Claude environment, and pilot it on your live work before you rely on it.

What actually transfers

Custom instructions become the brief

What you told ChatGPT about your business becomes a CLAUDE.md brief: short, specific, and editable by your own team, like a good punch list.

Projects and knowledge, rebuilt per workstream

Each ChatGPT project becomes a workstream directory with its own brief and files, so estimating rules never bleed into marketing copy.

Old chats, mined then archived

We extract the decisions and standing rules buried in your chat history. The history itself gets archived, not dragged along.

Memory, written down where you can read it

What ChatGPT remembered about you gets extracted into the brief, where you can see it, correct it, and keep it current.

What does not transfer: custom GPTs and plugins as-is. Equivalents get rebuilt where they earn their keep, and we tell you straight when one does not.

How the move runs

01

Export

You export your ChatGPT data from your own account. Your credentials stay yours; we work from the export. That is a standing rule on every engagement.

02

Extraction

We pull instructions, project knowledge, memory, and the standing rules hidden in your chats into a migration tracker you can inspect line by line.

03

Rebuild

A Claude environment scaffolded to our standard: one brief per workstream, role assistants where they fit, your real tools connected.

04

Pilot on live work

Three to five real tasks run against the new setup before you rely on it. Where it binds, we fix it there, and the fix goes in the brief.

The people doing the move run construction businesses of their own, on these same systems. See the work →

Straight answers

Do we lose what we taught ChatGPT?

No. Instructions, project knowledge, and memory get captured from your export and rebuilt as briefs you can read and edit. What cannot transfer as-is, like custom GPTs, gets rebuilt where it earns its keep, and we tell you when one does not.

Do you need our ChatGPT login?

No. You export from your own account and we work from the export. Client credentials stay on client machines; that rule holds on every engagement.

How long does a migration take?

It scopes like a small project: an export session, extraction, the rebuild, then a pilot on live work. You will have a real timeline and a real figure by the end of the first call.

Can part of the company stay on ChatGPT during the move?

Yes. The pilot runs alongside what you have today, and nothing gets shut off until the new setup is carrying the load.
